Melina, from Poland, was photographed using a filter made from a form of natural silk, used by the 1920's and 30's Hollywood studio photographers such as Ernest Bachrach (RKO) and Ruth Harriet Louise (MGM). Greta Garbo was just one of the stars photographed in this way.
